This event is open to the public as a fundraiser for Warriors at Ease and is appropriate for those who do and do not have physical disabilities. Students do not need to bring anything to this class, but they are welcome to bring their own meditation cushion if they wish.
This meditation class will be led by Dr. Holly Ferguson who has trained with UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center, Mangala Shri Bhuti, and Sravasti Abbey. She is dedicating her practice on this day to her brother-in-law and the Pennsylvania National Guard 28th Infantry Division 1st/109th Infantry Regiment.
Marisol Rascon is a Kundalini yoga teacher and will be guiding the chant and a short but sweet gong bath to close the evening. She is passionate about bringing awareness and healing tools to the community to assist in wellness and joyful living.
The class will focus on cultivating compassion for self and others through Buddhist meditation and Kundalini yoga practices. We will begin with a brief dharma talk and then move through a body scan, breath and compassion meditations, chanting, and end with a gong bath.
